M
I love these Showtec Compact PAR 7 Tri's
Mark616 27.07.2013
I have two of these lights at the moment, I am very pleased with them and I am going to get more. I am a DJ for modern jive partner dancing. I play to an audience of anything from 50 to 150. I tend to use them in sound activated mode, shining them off the ceiling or the wall to create ambient light. They are quite bright, creating a "usable" light cone for about 5 or 6 meters. If you are familiar with the iColor4 the two of them together give an equivalent brightness.

The instruction manual is easy to follow and the lights are easy to configure: there are a number of different colour sequences, or you can set them to constant colour (255x255x255 Red/Green/Blue combinations), with fade and strobe effects available as well. You can also join up to 4 units together with one as the Master and the other 3 following the master's program as slaves, though I have not tried this function yet.

A
Good Value

The good:
- nice colour mixing
- compact
- solid metal body
- easy control, also stand-alone
- sharply priced

The bad:
- would have liked them to be black in stead of gray, but that's a personal preference

Overall good value

Versatile and Bright

Well made, versatile and bright.
Full RGB brightness is a little blue, so need to pull B back to make light warmer.
Dimming is fairly good, although like all LED lamps, snaps off towards end.

J
Can't beat these ones at this price
Juletre 26.04.2023
Great lights, considering the price. Only cons I can find is that I would like power pass-through. And I can see some other people would like them in black instead of gray, but they do also offer a black version, though a tiny bit more expensive at the time of writing.
