Why going BLACK when you can go RED ?
I was a bit tired of the cable of my sennheiser HD-280, I decided to change it. And the headphone beeing completely black, I felt that some color had to be involved in the equation. This cable is not really intended for this application but since the signal has a quite low impedance and is not balanced, the shielding doesn't really matters.
The cable has a really nice balance of flexibility and robustness. It's easy to cut open, denude, solder. For a headphone cable it's the perfect size. A bit over the "consummer" size for that kind of wire. For a microphone cable, it would feel a bit to small if you manipulate it a lot. Sound is really nice. It does the job perfectly. Color is really nice as well. I would have loved a "radioactive green" cable.
Sommer cable, you know what you got to do.

Great cable
Using it for short patch cables in rack. Flexible. Small diameter, but not small too much to be unusable in Neutrik connectors. Simply, great cable.

Reliable and easy to use
This is great cable ? easy to strip and solder, flexible and robust.
I got it primarily for home studio use, where it had to fit into 3.5mm jack plugs and phono plugs (it did so without any trouble). But it has also come in really handy for use on stage, where heavier cable might cause vibration if it came in contact with a double bass.
It holds its shape well, is easy to coil away and lies straight when in use. Generally I've found Sommer cable to be very reliable, and this 'mini' cable has been no exception.
Nice colour too.
