Technical specifications:
The Stairville Outdoor Stage Par 12x4W Quad is a powerful, weatherproof outdoor PAR spotlight. The matt black housing has the typical PAR can look. The strong light output of the LEDs used with a medium-wide beam angle makes it an all-rounder for decorative outdoor applications. Whether it is to illuminate architecture from below or a stage portal from above - the possible applications are diverse. Thanks to the split-yoke bracket, the spotlight can easily be placed on the ground or hung in a lighting rig. To ensure that not only the housing but also the connections are well protected from moisture, a suitable mains cable and one cable for the DMX input are included, as well as two caps for any unused connections.
The Outdoor Stage Par 12x4W Quad from Thomann's in-house brand Stairville is suitable for outdoor use. The screw connectors of the four connection cables for the DMX input and output, as well as for the power connection and the power out, are manufactured to provide an IP protection rating of 65. They are attached to the die-cast aluminium housing. This means that they are not only dustproof, but above all protected against water jets from any angle. The shockproof plug has an IP protection rating of 44, which means it can withstand water splashes from all sides. A pressure equalisation element prevents condensation from forming inside the unit. The light source of the Outdoor Stage Par 12x4W Quad consists of twelve RGBW LEDs of 4 watts each. These emit light at a beam angle of 25°. The light is operated with buttons below the display, via DMX in four, six, or eight-channel mode or with an optionally available remote control. Six automatic programmes, static colours, master-slave operation, and a stroboscopic effect are all on board.
The Outdoor Stage Par 12x4W Quad offers organisers of open-air concerts the option of using colourful light cones regardless of the weather. Thanks to the DMX connections, the LED PARs can be integrated into a professional DMX landscape. The beam angle is suitable for many applications: It can be used to set light effects on backdrops, to emphasise entrances and architectural features, or to illuminate individual objects. If the PARs are to shine in one of the 14 pre-programmed static colours, they can be set with the buttons on the display even without using a lighting desk. Trees in the dark can thus be bathed in green light or a portal to an open-air event in inviting orange, to name a couple of examples.
Since it was introduced in 1994, Thomann’s in-house brand Stairville has been a permanent fixture in the store’s product range. The brand primarily focuses on the field of stage lighting in general, and its products include spotlights, moving lights, and theatre lighting as well as smoke machines, electronic control systems, and every other accessory you can think of. Thomann constantly has around 1,600 Stairville products on offer, and the figures speak for themselves: Statistically, one in every fifteen Thomann customers owns at least one Stairville product. Incidentally, the name “Stairville” is also a catchy English translation of “Treppendorf”, the town that Thomann calls home.
The Outdoor Stage Par 12x4W Quad lights from Stairville can do more than just illuminate objects and surfaces. They can also be used as blinders, for example at open-air concerts. To do this, the PARs must be hung one above the other in the truss towers or in a row over the edge of the stage, and pointed towards the audience. It pays here that the LED PARs are not only equipped with the usual DMX outputs, but also with power outs. These can be used to supply the lights with power, one after the other. Now, simply programme the PAR cans under the same DMX address and store a scene with white light only. At a concert, the lights can thus be made to flash in time with the audience's cheers, thus creating a shared party mood.
