Classic delay sounds perfect for 80s vibes

Using mine with some analog polys and monos and it sounds great. The 2 delay lines can create some nice rhythmic effects and in stereo which can add a lot of presence to a mono output synth. The 24/96 mode for me isn't super useful - would have rather had another type of vintage model. I guess the only real alternative is the Otto BIM but at a considerably higher price.

Suddenly indespensible

I never used a lot of delay (blues rock guy!) but I enjoy playing around with it. I bought this an the Echorec, intending to keep only one, and probably the Echorec which is more in keeping with my 70s penchant.

I love the Dig!! While the 80s might conjure up cheezy memories, this pedal can give you really vibey tones. With two delays and mod you have access to a lot of fun tricks:

1. Standard delay repeats, over a pad of reverb by setting delay 2 to a fast time and high repeats, but low volume.
2. A rhythmic or polyrhtymic backing track - if you use the repeats function which loops the delay without adding to it
3. Lots of different rhythm combos that inspire your playing as the different delays interact and as you play with serial and parallel settings
4. A really good chorus / flange / phase if you turn the delay time short and the mod on

I never thought I'd have a delay pedal nearly always on. Oh, and fed into a very subtly-set Echorec, it sounds amazing. Yeah, you really need three delays :)

Excellent versatile delay

Really fantastic delay pedal. I use it mostly with synths and I can get that nice moog delay vibe as well as that 80's lofi delay sound too.

It packs quite a few features considering there is no display. It can be a little fiddly to setup these features, but you get used to it (pressing down the stomp button while turning knobs accesses secondary functions).

I am a fan of Strymon pedals. I own the Big Sky and it is fantastic. This one impresses me too. It can impart quite a nice groove to any sound going through it.

highly recommended.

Is this the best dual digital delay? Probably. It sounds very good and the dual line opens up a ton of possibilties.
