The Classic, Upgraded
Diatonico 22.07.2022
The Flint Reverb & Tremelo needs no introduction — it's the perennial favorite giving you the classic amplifier effect duo, with 3 flavours for each (spring reverb, plate reverb, hall rack reverb + harmonic trem, tube trem, photo trem).

Pros:
- Two great effects in one, with 3 wonderful flavours each - sounds just as good as V1
- Compact (compared to 2 separate pedals)
- Midi capability
- Mono/stereo input switch on the back panel instead of inside
- Pre-delay added as live edit function
- Slower tremelo speeds possible than the older version
- Tap tempo on the trem switch
- JFET input

Cons:
- No separate knob for pre-delay (the other V2's did get a 6th knob!)
- Trem speed still not as slow as some other trems (like the JAM Harmonic Monk)
- Features are limited compared to dedicated effects pedals. This pedal is for those who just need some good no-frills trem & verb sounds, but don't necessarily want to control every parameter or have every sonic option.

Is it worth the 80,- EUR it costs more than the V1? I'd say that depends on how important a slow trem, tap tempo, pre-delay, and midi capabilities are to you. For me it was worth it to prepare my pedalboard for MIDI integration + have a more flexible Flint at the end of my signal chain.

Is the update worth the money?
StaStas 07.10.2023
Excellent pedal, the quality of this product is astonishing. I happen to have the 1st version too, so these are my conclusions after comparing the two:
* The reverb side is pretty much the same, plus adjustable pre-delay. It's a good addition, but not a game-changer. Also, I think it's a bit brighter.
* The tremolo side can go slower, which is pretty important for certain stuff. The light blinks in sync, so now you can tell the speed visually too.
* Midi is now available, which is a game-changer if you use it.
* The Mono/Stereo switch is now on the outside. In v1 you have to unscrew the bottom and move a little connector to different poles if you want to go from Mono to Stereo.

In conclusion, worth the money difference only if you use Midi. Otherwise, they're both amazing pedals, pick one.
