I bought this one as a replacement for my active Warwick bass. Although it is probably the best tubular type jack out there, it still has some drawbacks of the design.
Pros:
- available in stereo (for active guitars/basses) and mono
- good price
- high quality
Cons
- after some time the contacts became loose, and since it is a tubular (closed) design, it is impossible to access the contacts when they become loose, and make them hold the jack tighter again, which results in cracking noise and a need for replacement. This is why the open ended jack design is better, but if you don't want to drill you are faced with a need to replace the jack when the problems with contact arise.
- the colored ones (black, gold) can chip inside after some time resulting in problems with contact

Works well

I Installed this piece into my Ibanez for use with active pickups and it's working perfectly. Snug fit in the guitar and for the cable plugging into it.
