Nearly impossible to use in a live situation.

Creates unbearable amounts of feedback when using any of the effects in an effect chain. A work around is to have the pedal set up with its own microphone however I assume most people like myself wanted to be able to switch this on and off on their main mic. After some research, TC helicon seem to take the stand that it's simply the 'nature of the beast' and offer not much consolation apart from make sure your monitoring is set up correctly (meaning super quiet and everyone far away from eachother as possible) but thats pretty much not going to be possible in a stage or practice room situation .

Build quality is heavy duty and feel solid/reliable. Shame their isnt some kind of feedback compensation built in as it's rendered useless

Good Just For Studio
Anonymous 27.02.2016
It has an amazing sound and you can do whatever you like in the vocals, make it sound from the deep with distortion or softly electric.

But in mine occasion, i just wanted for the sound like you speak in an old telephone that is amazing, as a sound but not for the stage...i was very unhappy when i press the ON button in the stage and everything went bad, it started to suck all the feedback from the monitors...I believe this is happened cause the EQ's, but when i fix the Helicon ON version EQ by the mixer, to sound super on stage, it wasn't good for my true voice (OFF version)...

I think that if you like to use it on stage you must have a very good sound engineer...unlike with me who trying to be an engineer b myself :P...
Good gredits for the building though...It is hard as a rock!!!

not only warm, this is HOT

Great pedal, very controllable.
The sound is great, I use as overdrive or as phone/radio effect in every gig.

One thing that could be solved is that the pedal does not save the gate and gain settings, so you have to set it up every time you connect it to the power (before each set).

Another thing: it sometimes introduces crackles at high frequencies (even when it's in bypass mode!!!). That's an issue that should be solved.

Very good megaphone/distortion for voice
wgen 10.11.2016
This TC Electronics (Helicon series for voice) pedal is a cool unique type of tone shaper for all the rockers out there. It will do exactly what you think that it will do, ranging from megaphone, telephone like voices to crazy distorted howl if you wish. It's easy to use and seems very solid, also it has input pre-gain control and XLR input/output, as well as an USB port. Pay attention to the distortion settings though, because with a microphone you're obviously going to get many annoying squeals even in the larger rooms if you pass through a certain threshold
