Je n'ai jamais vu un Hiwatt de ma longue vie de vieux rocker, alors ne comptez pas sur moi pour valider la ressemblance.
Par contre, une strat en son clair et vous faites du "Wish you were here" comme le Grand et Beau Dave, le champion des champions si l'on en croit internet. (humour !)
La même strat avec la fuzz enclenchée, et hop ! on est "confortablement engourdi".
Donc, dans le registre floydien, on est bien.
Et si on met du P90 dans la bête, on peut faire son petit Townshend dans son home studio ! Le clean énervé et brillant de l'instrumental "Sparks" dans Tommy jusqu'à l'attaque des 4 cavaliers de l'Apocalypse quelques secondes plus tard.
Le son des Who ? Checked !

I've never seen a Hiwatt in my long life as an old rocker, so don't count on me to validate the resemblance. On the other hand, a strat in clean sound and you do "Wish you were here" like the Great and Handsome Dave, the champion of champions if we believe the internet. (humor!) The same strat with the fuzz engaged, and presto! we are "comfortably numb". So, in the Floydian register, we are good. And if we put P90 in the beast, we can do our little Townshend in our home studio! The angry and brilliant clean of the instrumental "Sparks" in Tommy until the attack of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse a few seconds later. The sound of the Who? Checked! Not yet tried in a rehearsal studio, but it won't be long.

Seit einiger Zeit verwende ich den Tech 21 GT II in meinem Studio. Als Ergänzung wollte ich den neuen "English Muffy" probieren. Für die Aufnahme von Gitarre und Bass finde ich beide Geräte ausgezeichnet. Der "English Muffy", eine Kombination aus einem vielseitig einstellbaren Hiwatt Amp und einem Big Muff, bringt eine sehr große Bandbreite an charaktervollen Sounds.
Sehr überrascht war ich von dem Klang und dem Spielgefühl, des Pedals vor einen Röhrenverstärker. Auch hier macht der SansAmp eine ausgezeichnete Figur.

I have been using the Tech 21 GT II in my studio for some time. I wanted to try the new "English Muffy" as a supplement. I find both devices excellent for recording guitar and bass. The "English Muffy", a combination of a versatile Hiwatt amp and a Big Muff, produces a very wide range of characterful sounds. I was very surprised by the sound and the feel of the pedal when used in front of a tube amp. Here too, the SansAmp cuts an excellent figure.
