Based on previous positive reviews I took the risk and ordered the ETR-3300 EB/D trumpet in silver. The order process was easy and the trumpet was delivered to the UK in very quick time. The trumpet came well packed and I was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent case from ProTec. The mouthpiece too was a nice surprise - a Stomvi branded 5C - although I would have preferred a shallower mouthpiece for this style of trumpet. I am no expert on this instrument but both the Eb and D parts have a nice tone and play in tune without any alternative fingerings. The case is excellent quality as you would expect and the D trumpet fits well but the Eb bell is rather tight in the case. Only time will tell if the case protects the bell properly.
The only downside so far is that there are a couple of small plating issues around the Eb bell which I will address with Thomann.

I've wanted a Eb/D trumpet for over a decade now. The Thomann ETR-3300S is a surprise all around and I'm happy with my purchase.
There are some minor issues. The pitch on certain partials are a little off but nothing that can't be compensated for. The felts under the valve buttons aren't in perfect condition. It also seems rather delicate but that's probably just the nature of Eb/D trumpets.
Otherwise, I reckon this is a professional level instrument that can play with the best of them. The sound is fantastic and it's easy to play. It gets my praise and recommendation.

Habe mir vor kurzem die Thomann ETR-3300S Eb/D gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden!!!!
Eine super Alternative zu den ganzen anderen viel teuren Marken, wie Schilke, Stomvi, Yamaha usw....
Eine Es/D Trompete nutzen die meisten nur solistisch (Haydn,Hummel und Neruda) und evtl. im Ensemble, daher ist ein schöner heller, aber dennoch warmer Klang gewünscht. Ich habe nach dem Blindvergleich (Blindvergleich-einer spielt und ein Kollege hört mit geschlossenen Augen zu) mit einer Schilke Es/D das Fazit gezogen, dass die Thomann Es/D absolut mit einer Schilke klanglich, wie auch in der Intonation mithalten kann.
Meine Thomann ist super verarbeitet, hat einen schönen hellen und kraftvollen Sound und Intonation ist auch gut. Auch super finde ich den Pro Tec Doppelkoffer, indem sich der zweite Becher, wie auch die Trompete sicher verstauen lassen.
Preis-Leistung auf jedenfall Super-Daumen hoch

I recently bought the Thomann ETR-3300S Eb/D and am very satisfied!!!! A great alternative to all the other much more expensive brands, such as Schilke, Stomvi, Yamaha, etc... Most people only use an Eb/D trumpet as a soloist (Haydn, Hummel and Neruda) and possibly in an ensemble, so it's a nice bright one , but still want a warm sound. After the blind comparison (blind comparison - one person plays and a colleague listens with his eyes closed) with a Schilke Es/D, I came to the conclusion that the Thomann Es/D can absolutely keep up with a Schilke in terms of sound and intonation. My Thomann is well made, has a nice, bright and powerful sound and the intonation is also good. I also think the Pro Tec double case is great because the second cup and the trumpet can be safely stowed away. Price-performance ratio is definitely a great thumbs up

Eine gute Alternative

Ich suchte eine günstige und trotzdem vernünftig klingende Es-Trompete, speziell für das Hummel- und Haydn Konzert.
Um Alternativen zu testen habe ich dies direkt bei Thomann vor Ort getan und mich für die Silber-Variante von Thomann entschieden.
Nach einem halben Jahr habe ich diese Entscheidung nicht bereut. Es bedarf einer gewissen Gewöhnung an einen anderen Sound, den eine Es/D-Trompete hat und daraus resultierend auch die Gewöhnung an eine etwas veränderte Intonation.
Das Instrument klingt sehr gut und ist auch in der Höhe sehr gut händelbar. Derzeit spiele ich es mit einem Brand 3C und einem Yamaha heavy cab auf dem dritten Ventil.
Das Instrument vor Ort zu testen kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Zum einen erlebt man den hervorragenden Service einmal vor Ort, zum anderen hat man die Möglichkeit, kleinere Korrekturen direkt vor Ort vornehmen zu lassen. Bei meinem Instrument hakte das zweite Ventil etwas, was aber in kürzester Zeit durch den Service korrigiert werden konnte. So spart man sich unnötige Enttäuschungen und, Reklamationen und Retouren.
Einzige Schwäche des Instruments ist die schwierige Entwässerung. Es sammelt sich relativ viel Wasser im 2. Ventil, was mir bis dato unbekannt war und etwas lästig ist.
Alles in allem aber eine hervorragende Alternative für diejenigen, die einen gelegentlichen Wechsel suchen
