A sturdy well-made case for the Boss GT6-B Bass Multi-Effects Unit. The Unit sits in the lower part of the case and in transit is held from moving around by a large foam pad which forms the interior of the top part of the flight case. There is room for the voltage adapter and probably leads as well.
Easy to set up on stage; just remove the top of the case, connect up and the unit can be left sitting in the botton of the case as shown in the illustration above.
The case and unit are not light and my only concern is whether the plastic carrying handle is robust enough. The turn-buckle latches need to be properly located before securing; several times I thought I had locked one side to see I had missed the part of the catch in the bottom half on the case.
I'm pleased with this purchase. I bought my Boss unit in new condition and this case will help ensure it stays that way.

You could drop this from a plane and it would be ok

I am using my case for a Boss GT6...it has the same footprint as the GT8 and I am able to fit the power supply, pedal board and a DI (which I like to periodically use to patch into the PA and cabinet). It is well- built with adequate foam padding and good locks. A note: After 25 years doing audio professionally I got smart and marked my lid and base to match them up when closing the case. Cases are built a certain way but often times they don't fit as sweetly in the wrong direction. Do yourself a favour and take a sharpie and mark this box (and any like it) with a symbol to denote the proper orientation before you forget. I highly recommend these Thon cases

Worth the money

Great case for the job, the GT-6 fits very well into the case, and with the option to lift off the top lid while the unit is still in the bottom part of the case, it stops the person who comes up to request songs from kicking the leads as i have had happen in the past, so good all round, keeps it safe in transit to/from gigs and adds some protection from heavy footed music (drunken) fans

Thon Case for GT-8
Tony2565 20.02.2018
I use this case to protect my GT8 while gigging.
The case is manufactured to very high standards and is very robust so I have every confidence that my GT8 will be safe while in transit and in use on stage.
It is a "use in base" design where only the top is removed for use. There is good access for cables and the base protrudes enough to help prevent jack plugs getting knocked while in use etc
