We wanted to make some custom cases for our microphones and we decided to give this set up a go, instead of cutting our own from a piece of foam.
I very much regret this decision. The material is very difficult to handle: requires extreme precision to pull out one of the blocks without destroying the entire thing. It is almost impossible to pull out all blocks at the same height. And finally it takes an absurd amount of time to do it.
Definitely don't recommend, just buy a piece of foam and cut it yourself. You get more precision and (to my surprise) it requires much less time!

Thon Flex Cut Inlay 2 padding
Anonymous 28.10.2015
I needed sturdy padding for my accessories hard case for my Boss effects pedals
and this was perfect.
It is nice and thick so perfect for moulding shapes of the effect pedals into it.
It has been pre-cut so it is easy to tear to side required.
Keeps my effects pedals good and secure in sturdy padding while in my hard case.
Perfect item for customizing inside of hard cases

Best case inlay
jordan1994 22.09.2021
I really like to have my gear organised and in cases so Flex cut inlays was what i needed. I used some other foam inserts with small cube cuts in the past but i think thon flex are superior because cubes are really tight and don't fell apart over time as most foam inserts with cube cuts. Making custom foam insert with it is easy. (i used a knife for cleaner cut but you can do it with your hand) I love flex inlay and will use it again when i will make a new case inlay.
