I bought this 8U studio rack in addition to my Thon 21U rack, to place on top. It's well made, nice finish and it suits my bigger rack perfectly.
But I've got 2 remarks:
First, I really really don't like the 12 mm gap it leaves when you install 8U's of gear. If I need space for air circulation, I will foresee a blind plate with holes (I bought 2 with the same order - but now there's still a 12 mm gap). I like my stuff to be thight for the eyes as well. This really makes it much less appealing for me and if I had know - you can call it nitpicking, but that's how I feel - I wouldn't have ordered it. Maybe I'll have it adjusted, but that means not only shorten the side panels, but the metallic rails as well. I expect a product to fit when I pay this money (wich is not overly expensive, but not cheap as well in regards to the used materials).
Second - but less important to me - is they could have provided some markings for the rails to be attached as they did with the felt slides at the bottom. I don't really think there 's many people that buy this and want to be able to determin the depth of where the front of the modules start.
