I've been using the SD-7 in already 4 recordings: percussions, floor tom and guitar amp. I consider I've obtained a very good sound transmission, and a very accurate hemisphere modelling. Robust body and also nice shape. After SD-3 and SD-7 I'm also considering purchasing SC-1

Just Amazing!

I tested recording bass amp and guitar amp and was great but the real surprise came when I recorded full drum set for a metal group, the drum set had 3 toms and 2 floor tom but we had only 4 Sennheiser MD421 so I decide to use it for the last floor tom and was a perfect matched even without the use of the plugin. I will definitely buy some more of this.

Ziemlich überzeugende Leistung, für wenig Geld

Das Mikrofon ist äußerst gut verarbeitet, und hat auch schon ohne die mitgelieferten Emulationen durch die UAD Hemisphere PlugIns einen sehr guten, klaren Sound, fast als wäre es ein Kondensatormikrofon.

Mit der Hemisphere Mic Collection kann man verschiedene Mikrofonklassiker draufrechnen lassen, ganz bequem vor oder nach der Aufnahme das passende Mikrofon aussuchen, und weitere Soundeinstellungen verändern.

Selbst, wenn die Emulation eines berühmten Mikrofons auch nicht 100% klingen mag wie das Original, sondern nur 90%, ist das gemessen am Preis der Originale immer noch super. Und Abweichung vom Original muss ja nicht bedeuten, daß es "schlechter" klingt, "anders" kann ja genausogut auch besser sein.
