J’utilise ces anches avec un bec S15 de la même marque sur un soprano Selmer Mark VI. Cette combinaison me procure un son clair avec une grande facilité d’émission, y compris dans l’extrême grave. Seul le suraigu manque un peu de finesse.
Comme d’autres anches de la même marque que j’utilise par ailleurs, j’apprécie tout particulièrement leur facilité d’utilisation: on les sort de leur sachet individuel, et ça marche, sans qu’il soit besoin de les trier, de les travailler pendant des heures ni de les retoucher, et en plus elles durent longtemps.

auf dem Sopran sucht und nicht den dünnen Kenny G Piepser haben möchte, der ist hier richtig!
Fallen sehr kräftig aus - im Vergleich zu grünen oder roten Vandoren, bzw. Rico und Co kann man etwa eine halbe Stärke weniger beim Classic nehmen. Sie haben weniger Obertöne und wollen länger eingespielt werden. Dann halten sie aber auch länger. Ich spiele seit Ewigkeiten verschiedene Blätter parallel. Das Sopran Classic 3,5 spiele ich auf einem Otto Link Ebonit 8* Das 3er Alt auf einem Vandoren A45.

Ein klein wenig härtere Blätter sollten es sein - aus diesen Gründen habe ich auf meinem Yamaha 4C für Sopransax eine Tesbestellung Vandoren Classic blau 3,5er, Vandoren Jazz 3,5er sowie Marca 3,5er aufgegeben. Die Classics machen einen soliden Job, sind von der Ansprache in Ordnung, vom Sound ein wenig zu "schwer" für Jazz, aber insgesamt zufriedenstellend. Besser als Ricos kommen Vandoren allemal weg.

Für Jazzer empfehle ich aber eher die Vandorens mit dem entsprechendem Verwendungshinweis im Namen, jene sind wirklich super!
