Straight out of the box ,I was surprised how good this was, no fizzyness, very quiet, excellent and very loud cleans and the distorted sound is brilliant, sounds good down low too ,but so much better at close to full power, but don't try this at home the roof will probably take off and loose windows will follow, I built a isobox from 6x 122cmx 60cm sheets of 18 mm mdf and lots of rock wool and lots of glue and 2 million screws, put a 16 ohm celestion creamback in it and miked it with sm57 and senheisser mk4 going into the souncard and yamaha hs8's .........bliss.... and its hard to get a good sounding gtr in hs 8's, so very happy and I can turn it all the way up if needed , and not destroy everybody's ears, but don't need to as the sweet spot comes in a lot earlier, hope it will last as it a great sounding amp. really shines when you turn it up, as with all tube amps. This is a very simple amp and its so easy to dial in compared to a lot of others.
update : Bought this 13.12.2021 and is still going strong , all original tubes and still sounds amazing , I don't gig this amp its always in the studio and is always played with volume on full and gain anywhere 1/4 past to 1/ 4 to depending on the gain i need or the guitar I'm using . As i have read of lots of problems with the stand by circuits on vox amps , I never use it, I just turn down the vol and gain and switch it on and then after a few min turn everything up . no problems so far . if you are going to gig this amp from new mke sure all screws are tight etc. Still a very quiet amp after all this time , go buy one you won't regret it .
Update
after 3 years of studio use , this amp is still going strong , great quality build and sound with the celestion creamback 12inch 16ohm speaker is really good . Tubes seem to be holding out and sound good ,havent had to replace them yet so very good for stock tubes , these are run at full volume and preamp at 3/4 or higher so doing well.

This amp truly surprised me.
It has that "Voxy" sound of the classic AC30. They did a great job with this new Celestion speaker made for this model. I use it mainly for rehearsals but I plan on use it live soon.
Pros:
- The sound! Either you're going for more drive or cleaner sounds, this amp delivers. It's loud, but can be real soft with the volume knob at minimum (I would dare say even bedroom level)
- Reverb is really good, not to much submersed even at max
- FX Loop. Just sounds like heaven with a delay pedal
- The looks. It's simply a wonder for the eyes
Cons:
- Even though it's a lot lighter than the original AC30, it's heavy to carry around.
Thomann's deliver was spot on as usual, and I couldn't be happier with the amp. Strongly recommend.

Little big sound
Micolo 23.12.2022
Had a 2 speaker AC, too heavy and never needed the two channels. Miss the vibrato but this AC30 is awesome. Sounds great, same power, same vibe, same look.

Fine work horse, but misses some of that VOX warmth
Blipsop 13.06.2020
I love the simplicity of this amp. Sounds fine, but lacks a bit of that VOX warmth. Maybe that is because it is technically a hybrid, maybe it's the speaker, I'm not sure. But it does what it should and does it good :-) You can't really go wrong with this one. The 1 x 12 Celestion is enough to drive the block crazy, I don't miss my 2 x 12 at all. Effects loop is perfect. Reverb is digital and sounds just fine.
