...whether I really want to keep this or not. The quality is great, but I'm not digging the sound of the distortion side. The way you have to wire it is also annoying. It's not like other dual overdrives where you can just flick a switch and not have to worry about re-patching cables to change the pedal order.

Great pedal. I love using it with my Telecaster, especially the 1st channel (right side) of the pedal. Very versatile with 2 voicings per channel and separate in/out for each side. No technical problems or hiss, very well built. One of my favorite pedals.

I think it's perfect for Strat/Tele players. For me (I'm more humbucker guy) it also very versatile. Screamer part is very good, always on type of overdrive. Red channel with blue channe can give you really interesting sounds, but eq and controls can be adjusted better. My main OD for last 2 years, works with every type of amp.

Gut, aber leider nicht meins

Vorweg: das Paisley Deluxe ist einer guter, hochwertiger Blues-Overdrive. Die Verarbeitung ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, die Bedienung intuitiv. Zum Batteriewechsel müsste man das Gehäuse aufschrauben, es gibt kein Fach - das ist Geschmackssache. Auf Single Coils vor einem Amp im Clean-Channel klingt er fantastisch, sahnige Bluesleads und Rock kann das Pedal ohne weiteres.

Leider würde ich ihn gerne mit Humbuckern vor einem leicht angezerrten Lead-Kanal spielen, und da gefällt er mir nicht. Der Amp kratzt und spuckt, die Transparenz geht verloren, selbst bei vorsichtigen Einstellungen klingt es, als wäre alles bis zum Anschlag aufgerissen. Kein schlechtes Gerät, aber ein Allzweck-Overdrive ist es eben nicht. Wer sich stilistisch in Richtung Brad Paisley bewegt wird sicher glücklich, allen anderen empfehle ich auf jeden Fall gründliches Probespielen vor einem Kauf.
