The 4MD is like a very nice 3C to me with better sound, intonation, volume, response, flexibility and expression. I like this a lot on a 7 backbore but play the 5MD now for endurance reasons. I took off 1 mark for quality because you must check the top and backbore fit together well when buying Warburton parts. The MD top is also handy to play on the cornet with an 8* backbore for a big round tone.

Das 4MD setze ich überwiegend in der konzertanten Blasmusik ein. Durch den tieferen Kessel als das 4M hat es einen vollen, runden Klang. In den Höhen verlangt es allerdings mehr Anstrengungen. Aber so muss eine Konzerttrompete klingen.
