So far, so good!

A basic, lightweight hardware set for the jobbing player: I bought this set as I had a bunch of gigs coming up which needed a trolley and a distance load in. I've played about 8 shows now with these stands and they have been great. My only concern initially, was how playable the hi hat stand would be (with no spring adjustment) but I needn't have worried. It's Yamaha, and it just WORKS! Other players who have lifted the stands all agree how much lighter they are and a couple have bought sets themselves after checking out mine. I hope now that Yamaha follow up with a set of generic floor tom legs; stool base, and even a BD pedal - why not?! :-) I only gave 4*'s for the stability, as they are a teeny bit wobbly, bot only compared to other steel stands, and I honestly can't see these getting knocked over.
UPDATE 24/6/23: Everything still working amazingly well over 50+ gigs and 200 practice sessions per year. Nothing has ever fallen over! Highly rated!

These Things Scream Quality
Dave Robo 11.01.2024
I've been building a four-piece kit for gigging out of my six-piece Roland TD30. I wanted to create an old-school modern fusion look and feel and make it as easy to transport as possible.

I was getting there with traditional stands, but the Yamaha Crosstowns looked much better. I wasn't wrong.

Everything about these things screams quality. They look great, operate smoothly, are very stable, and are much lighter than their steel equivalents. I've even bought an extra Crosstown cymbal stand for the TD30 unit to finish it all off.

If you're considering these things, just buy them, you will not regret it.

They come well packaged, and the included bag has room for more stuff, such as a throne stand.

For gigging drummers these things are fantastic.

Wonderful

Very light. The bag is great too.
Probably not the best choice for extremely loud and hard hitters.
