Feedback on the Yamaha Soprano Sax 4C Mouthpiece
Fliegerbear 25.06.2020
This Yamaha Soprano 4C mouthpiece is a great value for the money! The mouthpiece that comes with the saxophone is not that good. I ordered the 4C based on the recommendation of the Thomann contact, reports read online and YouTube reviews.

The Pro Points: I was amazed at the improvement in playability and intonation that came with the 4C. The sound quality was also richer. This was a major step forward. I guess what surprised me most, was the fact that the mouthpiece could make such a dramatic difference. For the price, it was an excellent choice. Perhaps, I will try another alternative one day... Maybe a Selmer.

Perhaps, the only potential downside is that it is plastic. If I drop it, will it break more easily than a hard rubber mouthpiece? I guess the simple answer is: Don't drop it on the floor!

Also, the service and delivery by Thomann has been great, too! This was another nice surprise!

Upgrade from original mouthpiece (says a beginner)
Anonymous 23.02.2015
I am a saxophone beginner and I found this mouthpiece to be a huge upgrade from the original mouthpiece delivered with my Dixon WWX552LQ soprano saxophone. I found it easier to control the tone and to produce a nice sound than with my previous mouthpiece. I also liked the feeling and sound of this mouthpiece better than the Rico Graftonite 5B I also ordered.

Ein Mundstück für alle Fälle
pommerizer 13.11.2009
