Small powerhouse

The Zhiyun Weebill-S is a compact but powerful 3-axis stabiliser for DSLR and mirrorless system cameras. With a maximum load of 3kg, the gimbal can support and stabilise three times its own weight - for up to 14 hours with fully charged batteries. Compared to its predecessor, the Weebill LAB, the Weebill-S offers three times more motor torque and a revised algorithm for 50% improved responsiveness. If desired, the gimbal can detect the weight of the camera itself and automatically adjust the motor strength for the best possible shooting results. The Weebill-S is supplied with various USB cables, a mini tripod, a backing plate, a quick-release plate as well as two lithium-ion batteries and a charger.

Versatile setting options

The axes of the Zhiyun Weebill-S can be locked individually by corresponding switches, which is not only practical for storage and transport, but also makes mounting and balancing the camera easier. The Zhiyun Weebill-S is compatible with many popular cameras and lenses, such as the Sony A7 series or the Canon EOS up to the 5D models. Parameters such as motor torque, follow speed, smoothness, dead zone, button functions and much more can be conveniently set via the controls integrated in the handle and the OLED display. With six different operating modes (Follow, Pan-Follow, Lock, POV, Vortex and GO/Sport), the Weebill-S offers endless possibilities for creative, cinematic filming. Important: Settings such as aperture, exposure time, ISO and exposure compensation cannot be adjusted via the gimbal on every camera. It is advisable to check the compatibility list on the Zhiyun website beforehand.

Modular design

Brilliant for the price!!

I bought this to use with a Canon 5D Mk II as it has no stabilisation at all, with a Mk1 24-70 lens. Also, with no autofocus for video, I needed a way to smoothly pull focus, so also got the follow focus motor for this.

For it's size, this thing handles it brilliantly! My rig is probably bordering 2kg (1.8kg camera and lens, plus focus motor). I will say, for a heavy lens, don't use the extension plate, as I spent about 45mins fretting I'd bought a too small gimbal as I couldn't balance it! But after removing that and mounting straight to the quick release plate, it was perfectly fine (though with about 3-4mm space to the lens). I also bought a SmallRig handle specifically for the Weebill-S for underslung carrying, as it has a kind of lip that stops your hand sliding off the end unlike Zhiyun's. Also has more mounting points, and a cold shoe on top (would highly recommend!).

Lastly, the price is brilliant! This was sold out in most places, and someones wanted to sell this second hand to me for over £300!! So finding it cheaper than some second hand prices was an absolute dream!

Nikon 7500.
It works.. Record start, stop, focus.
But external HDMI o/p for field monitor shuts down when in record.
You could feed HDMI to external recorder (clearclick a possible) and not use the camera it's self to record. When I contacted Zhiyun I was deafened by the silence.

Just the thing it's supposed to be!

Does just the thing it is supposed to.

It can steady easily heavier camera+lens combos, mine was almost 2 kg (~1800 grams) when I got camera+lens+rig+mic.

Very easy to use and buttons seems to be in order easily to get accustomed to.

Balancing is also straightforward but can take time to do right. Especially in the beginning.

Handle positioning to "undersling"-mode is awesome! Also it working as a tripod is great.

Only downside is that optional equipment (Wireless Video Transmitter & phone app) is needed for some advanced stuff, like autofollowing subject. I personally don't think I'll be needing those things but your mileage may vary. Some other gimbals have these "in the box" but that said, some of them also lack in other areas, like weight limit or camera hitting to gimbal somewhere.

fonctionne très bien. le petit moteur zoom en + est top, j'aurais du le prendre + tot. j'aperçois quelques légers tremblements dans les mouvements circulaires (boitier + objectif + moteur = assez lourd)
mais sinon rien à dire, c'est bien stable
