Perfectly matched cymbal set

The K-Sweet cymbal set is a perfectly matched cymbal set from renowned US manufacturer Zildjian's K Series. The cymbals, which are made from high-quality B20 bronze - an alloy of 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin - are hammered in the distrinctive pattern for which the K Series is known and which contributes to their rather dark sound and fast response. The untreated, natural bells of the crash and hi-hat cymbals are also a striking feature. The cymbal set includes a 15" K-Sweet hi-hat, 17" and 19" K-Sweet crashes, and a 21" K-Sweet ride.

On the darker side

The K-Sweet cymbals included in the set fundamentally combine a rather dark sound character, a fast response, and a sparkling decay. The large 15" K-Sweet hi-hat combines a heavyweight bottom with a light top cymbal, resulting in a clear stick sound, a solid "chick" sound which easily cuts through the mix, and a pleasant amount of wash when played open. The crashes in the "extra thin" weight class sound full-bodied, with the 17" model having less body due to its size. The 21" K-Sweet-Ride in turn offers a clear stick sound even with faster playing styles and will impress with dark overtones and a good ability to produce crash cymbal sounds.

For budget-conscious drummers

Anyone looking for modern, rather dark-sounding cymbals without a trashy note should definitely put the K-Sweet cymbal set from Zildjian through its paces. The extremely balanced K-Sweet cymbals with their multi-faceted sound and rapid response will capably cover a wide range of applications. A major advantage of this cymbal set is the significantly lower price compared to buying individual cymbals, which means that drummers who have always had their eye on K-Sweet cymbals but have been put off by the steep individual prices of the models now have an excellent opportunity to get their hands on a Zildjian K-Sweet cymbal set at a bargain price.

About Zildjian

The Avedis Zildjian company is one of the world's oldest manufacturers of musical instruments. In addition to cymbals and gongs, the Zildjian range also includes drumsticks, percussion mallets, and accessories. The company's history dates back to 1618, when an Armenian, Avedis Zildjian, made his first cymbals from tin, copper, and silver near Constantinople. In the early 20th century, the company moved its headquarters to the United States, where a short time later the era of big bands and Swing music began. Zildjian worked closely with the most famous drummers of that era and over the decades earned an excellent reputation among Jazz drummers. Since Ringo Starr led the way more recently, Zildjian cymbals have also become increasingly popular among Rock drummers, and today the range includes cymbals for every conceivable genre, ranging from affordable entry-level cymbals to handmade models of the very highest quality.

Expandable at any time

Drummers who wish to expand their K-Sweet cymbal set can of course also purchase all of the cymbals included in the set in other sizes: The range of K-Sweet cymbals includes a total of three different-sized hi-hats, five crashes, and two ride cymbal models, all of which harmonise perfectly with each other. The iconic K series also includes many other dark-sounding cymbal types that can complement the K-Sweet cymbal set perfectly. The K-Series EFX cymbals, for example, with their extraordinary laser cut-out design, deliver a dry "trash" sound with a rapid decay time for some special accents, and these can be used either as a single cymbal or stacked with other models.

G
Excellent cymbals
Gonen 01.02.2021
2 years ago I purchased a set of Zildjian K Custom Special Dry cymbals. I have gone through dozens of reviews and listened to the sounds etc. before purchasing. My expectation was obviously trashy sounds, but when I started playing it was too much for me :) Since I am not a jazz player, the overtoned trashy sounds did not fill my taste. And the ride bell was almost not a bell.

Then I discovered these Sweets and started listening to videos and checking sounds. (Since no store is selling these in where I live). I ordered this new set through Thomann. They have a very good service, they shipped in a day, the sales rep was extremely nice and helpful. I started playing them today. 100% fulfilled my expectations. I kept the 2 crashes from the dry set, added a Zildjian 8” splash, a 10” FX. Now I believe I have a very good combination of excellent cymbals.

The 15” Sweet hi-hat is seriously sweet. And the bell on the 21” ride is amazing. 17” and 19” crashes are a killer. Much much better than the dry set. I definitely recommend this Sweet set.

ER
Best cymbal pack on the market
Elliot R. 06.09.2023
These cymbals sound so good & I love the bigger sizes - which is rare for a cymbal pack. It's also important to note that the team at Thomann shipped these to me (DE to FR) super fast, with no issues. They were packaged perfectly. I can't recommend this pack enough !

DD
The most balanced cymbals I have ever owned!
DW Drummer 13.02.2024
I have never purchased a cymbal pack before, but after hearing these on some of the stages I've played on, I had to add them to my lineup. They are extremely versatile with a remarkable sound. The matching of the cymbals as a set out of the box was excellent! As a set, they gel together so well. The bigger sizes are a game changer: I don't think I'll ever return to 14" Hi-Hats after this. I haven't used any of my other cymbals since buying this pack!

Versatile. Clear Cutting. Easy to mix. VERSATILE!
