The Dune series is not only a feast for the eyes with its distinct hammer marks and the high-gloss polished bells, but also sounds just as beautiful as it looks! In addition to the Grand cymbal set, the Dune series, which was released in 2018, has many other premium quality individual cymbals from traditional Turkish production in its repertoire, which are protected from dust and moisture with a special layer of wax. The cymbal material used is high-quality B20 bronze: 80 percent copper and 20 percent tin. This formula has also proven itself in other Zultan series in the past.

Big upgrade from cheaper cymbals

I bought this set to replace my really old Sabian B8 cymbals. I was initially a little dubious about the trashy kind of sound which can seem quite harsh in a small room, but with a bit of control and especially when recorded, the cymbals sound rich and warm with a jazzy kind of sizzle. I tend to play more funk/jazz/hip hop type beats and these seem perfect for those styles. I enjoy playing with this set a lot. The cymbals gel together well and have a very expressive sound when played with controlled dynamics. Letting loose on them gives quite a trashy, rocky sound and the big hihats sound great when played half open. Overall, the sound is quite dark and this may not suit everyone but I am very happy with these for my purposes. I should also mention the price - about half of what you would pay for a high end set from big brands! I can't comment on how these compare to other more expensive sets from different brands, but they are a huge leap up from my 20-odd year old B8's. Oh and they also look fantastic!

Zultan Dune Cymbals - eine echte Alternative

Nach dem positiven Test auf "Bonedo" habe ich mir das Zultan Dune Grand Cymbal Set hier gekauft. Unpacked und gleich in meinem Drumstudio ans Drumset gebaut. Sounds, für die ich bei Meinl oder Zildjian deutlich mehr bezahlen müsste, bekomme ich hier noch dazu deutlich origineller und heftiger.Die beiden Crashes in 16+18" sind einfach der Hammer.Dreckig und spritzig in Einem, was ich schon länger suche. Das 22" Ride ist ein perfektes Crash/Ride der Sonderklasse. Lediglich der Bell-Sound ist etwas zurückhaltend, also nix für Hard+Heavy. Für mich als Fusion-Drummer aber eine echte Bereicherung. Die 15" HiHats sind schon sehr speziell, not for everybody. Nicht einfach nur dark und trashy, ich sag einfach mal sehr exotisch im positiven Sinn. Eine echte Alternative zu herkömmliche HiHat-Sounds. Und der Look der Dune Cymbals ist in Echt sehr viel besser wie auf den Artikel-Fotos. Eine neue Variante zu den typischen Meinl Byzance Scheiben.Gut gemacht. Ich freue mich schon auf die ersten Studio-Aufnahmen mit den Dunes. Und für Club-Gigs sind die Sounds mit Sicherheit erste Wahl für mich.Prädikat : Sehr empfehlenswert.Nicht nur für Individualisten.

Descubrí esta marca hace poco y vi que tenian unos precios bajos comparados con las grandes marcas pero que parecian interesantes. Vi bastantes videos de las diferentes series de Zultan y la DUNE y la RAW fueron las que más me gustaron pero para lo que yo queria (rock con sonido vintage) los DUNE eran los adequados.
Estoy realmente enamorado del sonido y por supuesto del precio. Estoy harto de pagar 400€ por un plato, gracias a Zultan puedo tener platos con un sonido maravilloso a un precio razonable. Recomendaria a todos los bateristas que consideraran esta opción, no tienen nada que envidiar a las grandes marcas, no puedo estar más contento. Gracias Zultan!!!

Brut et mais pas brouillon

Les crashs sont superbe. Un son brut avec un effet tournant dans la pièce. un peu à la manière d'un phaser.
Le charley est impeccable. un son gras en faible pression mais aussi fin et précis en pression serrée.
La ride est très jazz. Un son brut avec un beau ping mais peut être un peu brouillon quand on la frappe un peu plus fort. Le sustain devient alors un peu envahissant. Elle manque de bells. Le dôme de la cymbale est peu sonnant. à jouer avec douceur.
