Audio is transparent as it should be. Seems to produce only about 40v, but most mics will be happy enough with this. I use it with my Sony PCM D50.
Design and build quality are great. It's compact and feels like it will last. I particularly like the rubber ribs along each side that prevent is from sliding around the table. There are cheaper alternatives but I preferred this one for its size, connection layout and the fact that it runs on a single 9v battery.

handy accessory for condenser microphones
redjon 03.01.2022
I bought this for use on location recording, the 9v battery option is great for that.
I can use it for 2 extra condenser microphones using the Zoom exh-6 capsule, and it's also handy for plugging my ATM350 into a PA when phantom power is not available.
useful bit of kit

ART Phantom II pro for use with Zoom H4n recorder
Cormac B. 16.08.2013
I needed the ART PII to power a RODE NTG-2 which in turn was fed into a ZoomH4n XLR input ( instead of using the ZoomH4n phantom power ). However it gave "crackled" signal.
This was not the fault of the ART PII but due to the XLR input being unbalanced on the Zoom.
The ART Phantom II on its own is very silent when used for the purposes of connecting to a mixer that does not send phantom power and is a very useful piece of kit. Although it did not serve my purposes it is something that I will not part with. Well built too.

Does not conform to IEC 61938:2018
Angelo16 07.01.2023
Does not supply 48 volts. I measured only 36 volts with a new 9.5 volts battery.
Some mics will work , others not and some will have reduced SPL and increased distortion.
It also has a leakage of 4 Volts in the outputs.
