I used these on my Hofner Ignition Bass.
They are warm sounding and have that great flatwound feel.
My one complaint would be the price but all flatwound bass strings are expensive, these are at the higher end of the price scale.
Daddario are always excellent quality so you can rely on them for all your string needs.

Smooth warm sound!
Random User 12.10.2018
Bought these strings for my Jaguar shortscale bass and had it for some time now. I love the deep and warm sound of these strings, they are smooth to touch although they feel kind of sticky (they are not as smooth as I expected) but it causes no problems. They cut through the mix well and are perfect for someone looking for a deep vintage sound.

A
The best bass strings for a true short scale
Anonymous 11.01.2016
Using these strings since long time and have never lost bright and warm sound.
Set on different electric basses, such as Epi Viola, Hamer Slammer, Fender Rascal, etc.
Warning, keep an eye on the length of your bass before buy them.
Depending on bass type, the sound is slightly different but kept a pitch, that many would call it 'vintage' in this time.
I prefer playing with a pick, but still with fingers the feeling is much more on bass tones.
Overall, what I love of these strings is the sensation of slipping way with my fingers on the neck. And I guess they have influenced my bass playing style.
Strongly recommended.

Bright flatwounds
BrunoTB 06.03.2023
I tried these flatwounds because I heard so many people rave about them.
They definitely look like high quality strings, but I didn't like the brightness of sound compared to La Bella 760s and they didn't feel as silky smooth like the La Bellas either.
If you are used to roundwounds and would like to switch to flats without losing too much brightness, this might be the string for you.
