DAngelico Hardshell SS Case

It is a decent and good-looking case, a reasonable choice in this price range. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a useful case for a semi-hollow guitar without spending the extra buck.

I have a fair experience when it comes to cases, have been using a lot of them, from classical guitar cases up to the original Gibson LP Standard case. This case ranks somewhere in the middle, hence the 3 stars.

Its quality is average, the structure doesn't feel totally solid, the hardware doesn't inspire full confidence. The rim of the lid especially is a poor quality piece of plastic. But the interior has a nice feel and it will serve as safe nest for your beloved instrument. Maybe not for the touring musician, but for the rest it will last long enough.

I bought this case for my Duesenberg Starplayer TV, as I was searching for alternatives for the original DTV case, which I found pricey and mainly not to my taste. Not a tight fit for the DTV, but close.

All in all, I know it won't last forever, but I like it for its design and for keeping my guitar safe.

I recently bought a DAngelico premier ss from thomann when they were being sold off at just a little over half price and was delighted with the guitar,so I decided to treat myself to the matching hardcase.The case fits like a glove and has a very thick luxurious lining and the guitar nestles in snugly with no movement as you would expect with a case made specially to fit it.Overall great case and worth the money,finishes off the guitar nicely.Thanks.
