High output pickup - With some microphony
dpavon 20.11.2020
I love the sound of this pickup on my Fender's bridge, but it's got a bit of a microphonic effect, easily heard when tapping with the pick on the pickguard. The one I have on the neck doesn't do that (DiMarzio as well).
Also, when getting close to my laptop, I can hear a huge interference noise.
Anyway, it's a good pickup.

Fat sound!
Maik708 25.08.2010
This pickup from Dimarzio delivers everything I was looking for in pickup. Mounted on the bridge position the sound is fat and got a lot of definition, no muddy or flubby notes at all.
I put it in my Ibanez RG1570 combined with an Air Norton and a True Velvet from Dimarzio. This combo works fine for me.
The guitar is tuned to Dropped C and I get a nice attack out of it while still being able to play big chord voicings with this pickup.
The Cleansound is a bit too hot for my taste, but in most cases, I don't use the bridge pickup for cleans.

I recommend it for alle the modern metal styles!

I kills the stock Ibanezpickups and upgrade every guitar!

D
Excellent
Duran 09.08.2015
I don't have a lot of experience with different pickups. This one I have had installed by a professional luthier into my Jem(SteveVai) because I found the original pickup to treble-y and thin. This is a top of the range pickup and it performs well, it has improved my sound what I intended. Shame I didn't come in white.
Best wishes,
Duran
