Bought this and a further 12" and 14" for my Pearl BLX. Solid enough. Pearl and Yamaha tom mounts fit nicely and I'd imagine others would as well. Might need a little manipulation to fit the lugs and it's worth replacing the rubber grommets with thinner ones. Other than that' they do the job nicely without costing too much.

Reccomended for older/lower end rack toms
AurisJazz 01.06.2023
Bought 10" and 12" versions of this. Fitted to my 20 year old Premier Cabria rack toms, which had the simple holder screwed to the drum shell. Out of the box there was negligible improvement of sustain, however when refitted with rubber and steel washer combo between Gewa mounts and original premier holders, the toms have ressurected and began to sing with great resonance and fullness. Still not the same as holding the drum in your hands, but can't complain in regards with the price. Curious to see what impact other brand mounts would have.

Pimp my Tom
Carl 12.11.2009
