I love this pedal. It gives a lush and warm delay effect. It's also very intuitive and easy to use. But most importantly: it's fun and inspiring.
You can set the delay time anywhere from a short, slapback echo delay (think Stray Cats, Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy, or the country music genre), or, you can dive deeply into the world of ambient music when you dial the delay button all the way open. Just add some feedback, reverb, and volume swells.
It blends in beautifully with your dry signal as well. Using it subtly, it can thicken up your lead guitar tone. If you want to go crazy with self-oscillation and feedback à la Jimmy Page during the Whole Lotta Love bridge section (live at Royal Albert Hall 1970), you can do so too.
Pros
- Warm, lush delay sounds;
- Easy to use;
- Blends in beautifully with the dry signal;
- Plays nicely with many different amps (tube, solid state, cheaper/high-end);
- Compatible with many effects (fuzz, drive, reverb, ...);
- Comes with a cool sticker.
Cons
- I cannot think of any.
To me this was the analog delay pedal I was looking for.
It has become a permanent staple of my pedalboard.
