Electro Harmonix Wailer Wah

Bought for a secondary board I was putting together with a bunch of old Arion pedals I'd decided not to sell on...lightweight and plastic like them and sounds quite good as they do....
Firstly,its quite solid and I think it will take any reasonable use as well as a metal Wah so I have no issues with the plastic.However,I would expect it to be coming in a bit cheaper than a full metal jacket like the basic Vox...though its light weight is a selling point if you want to keep a board at a managable weight...
My only negatives is with the relatively short throw of the pedal compared to my Vox 847....though if this were your main wah,I'm sure you'd adapt to it.
Sounds are what I would describe as good,mainstream general wah,equally at home with clean or drive,a safe,well judged sweep.
Its great for what I wanted,keeping the weight of quite a long board down but I can see why if this was not an issue most players would probably opt for a metal chassis wah,especially if it were not to be board mounted.

Ich hatte mich auf das Teil gefreut, da die Bewertungen gutes verhießen.
Leider wurden meine Erwartungen nicht erfüllt.
Einziges positives ist das geringen Gewicht. Allerdings weiß man schnell warum, der Großteil ist Plastik.
Geplant war unsere 70er Titel die wir neuerdings in der Setlist haben, etwas aufzupeppen. Bisher habe ich mir ein Wah immer ausgeborgt, nun sollte es ein eigenes sein. Für die wenigen Einsätze sollte es auch kein teures sein.
Die Range in der Wah sich bewegt, gefällt mir überhaupt nicht. Im tiefen Bereich irgendwie hohl und die richtige Höhen kommt es auch nicht. Aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache und manch einer will das so.
Was mich richtig stört ist die Tatsache, dass der Ein/Aus Schalter sehr schwer geht und im sitzen (wie bei uns das manchmal in kleinen Clubgigs vorkommt) überhaupt nicht bedienbar. Selbst mit viel Anstrenung gelang es mir nicht zu schalten, ausser ich lehnte mich deutlich nach vorne, was im Live Betrieb sicher lustig wirkt um ein Wah einzuschalten.
Negativ ist mir der Anschluss für die Stromversorgung aufgefallen, ein Standardstecker hat in der Fassung nicht wirklich gehalten. So dass bei leichter Bewegung des Wahs der Stecker herausrutschte.
Das mag ein Einzelfall vllt. sein, aber es rundete den Gesamteindruck leider ab.
Das Wah werde ich zurückschicken, leider.

J?ai acheté cette pédale il y?a huit mois maintenant. Je peut dire aujourd?hui avec le recul de l?utlisation durant plusieurs mois, d?etre entièrement satisfait. Elle fait vraiment le job, elle ne m?a pas lâchée une seule fois depuis tout ce temps. Quant au fait qu?elle soit pas en boîtier métallique, rien à craindre, à moins de la maltraiter en appuyant dessus comme un mammouth. Si c?est votre cas, même les boîtiers métalliques ne vous résisteront pas. Si vous prenez soin de votre matériel et que vous ne voulez pas vous encombrer avec une pedale lourde et volumineuse, sans oublier le prix, alors n?hesit pas. Quant à la qualité sonore rien à redire, je trouve qu?elle possède une importante implitude des aigües au plus graves. Bref, c?est une bonne affaire.
