This was my first time replacing the broken string to my Jr volume pedal, it came with a fully replacement kit which was nice, the instructions weren't really helpful enough but there are some videos on YouTube which will guide you better.
Be prepared! If it's your first time it will take some time and you will need some tools!

These spring kit is ok. Have used it on my Ernie Ball 6166 Volume pedal for the last 10 years. Some kit lasted 3 do 4 years and some lasted for 1 to 2 years.
I think they should be more consisted.
Need to try the new kevlar string kit.

It won't work without it

This is the authentic and necessary part when you break a string.
Great value for money from Thomann. They are pretty difficult to install. Its a good idea to buy more than 1 ...for next time!

Bring your EB volume pedal back to life
Anonymous 22.03.2014
I recently acquired a used Ernie Ball volume pedals but the string had seen better days.
With this kit (and a couple of cups of tea) I was able to bring it back to life. The process can be a little bit fiddly but I found helpful videos online and after a few tries I had the pedal back to full health. The cord has a teflon coating to prevent friction and wear so I can foresee it lasting for quite a while. Considering the very reasonable price I might stock up on another one to have as a backup
