I bought this head for use with a small 18" kick drum. I was sceptical about possibility of having a big fat sound on 18" kick drum but this drum head made it possible especially when combined with unported resonant head. Just be sure to use a patch for a beater if you are a heavy hitter, it will prolong the life of drum head and also give a little bit of a defined beater punch.

Bin mit dem Fell sehr zufrieden, ich spiele es auf meinem Gretch Catalina Jazz Kit. Hab die Bassdrum geschlossen ohne Resonanzloch. Die Fellkombination mit dem einlagigen Resonanzfell macht einen schönen jazzigen Ton, und hat erstaunlicherweise einen recht kräftigen Basston. Man kriegt auch sogar mit einen guten Kick raus für Akzente. Die Verarbeitung ist Evans typisch sehr gut.
