Awesome when you're in a hurry for sax
Mark598 03.09.2015
As a keyboard player who picks the sax up mid song for the odd sax solo I generally have around a bar left by the time the sax is at my mouth - no time at all to faff about wetting a reed; and for most sax solos I need to start bang on with confidence. You can't mince gently in playing in a classic rock band. These plastic reeds are just awesome for that - just pick up and play, no prep. And they seem to last for ever too. No doubt "proper" sax players will have a skeleton full of bones to pick with this non-traditional reed, but frankly it plays consistently, and on demand, and I get the sound I like out of it. 'Nuff said.
Update - Mar 2021. Been using these nearly a decade now, still buying them! They don't last forever, but they last a very long time.

the feel of cane reeds without the hassle
Fede B 22.06.2019
good sound and feels just like a cane reed. however it does absorb humidity and the sound changes as it gets wet.
After a few weeks of usage it got ruined, lasted less than a cane reed would for me. Perhaps a hard strength works better but won't try it again, back to legere.

Very buzzy sounding. Not really my bag. But I still have mine a year later and it works flawlessly. The sizing seems to be accurate since I bought a nr2 and usually play 2,5 and it was to soft.

Erster test, ging soweit...
-------------------------------- 11.05.2020
