I was using the metal tune o matic bridge that came with my Samick Greg Bennett JZ4
The base seems to be rosewood (not sure if it's ebony)
The saddle, could be ebony, but it really looks like a composite plastic....however, when I made the slots the residue looked like wood. Not sure though. Not that I care, ebony is an endangered species so if it's made in tusq I don't mind.
The bridge looks stunning on my Jazz Guitar.
It makes for a MUCH better connection between the strings and the body compared to a tune o matic bridge. The guitar sounds louder now and a bit more brilliant. It sounds a bit more towards the sound of my Maccaferri guitar.
The intonation was 99% correct, cannot complaint or feel the need for a tune o matic system to be able to intonate it.
Overall is a wonderful bridge, highly recommended.
