I bought this drum to practice my rhythms and to record some percussion. Although this drum is small, it actually has a nice, deeper than expected sound. You can actually get some slight varied sounds depending on how far or close you hit the center of the drum. You get a deeper sound in the middle and higher tighter sound closer to the edge. The wooden beater was included too so that is another plus! This is also a great instrument for introducing kids to music and for teaching purposes. It?s really easy to play. It?s a lot fun to bring along to a jam too. I would recommend this, good price too!
