Substandard screws for an otherwise excellent product

I'm used to thinking of Gotoh as a reliable brand.
I was surprised to discover that 2 of the screws broke in half when I was mounting them, resulting in extra holes, scratches and whatever you can imagine to get the screws out again. Luckily it was my own bass and not some vintage instrument from a customer. Very annoying and tedious nonetheless. A shame that they choose to save money and something so trivial.

Solide, schön und schwer

Ich habe den Teil bestellt als Ersatz bzw. Upgrade für einem Fender Jazz Bass MIM (Gekauft 2011).

Der erste Eindruck war, wie schwer das Paket war und der zweite war, wie gut jedes Teil aussieht. Mir war klar, dass sie neue Löcher für die Befestigungsschrauben jedes Mechanismus bohren mussten, aber damit hatte ich kein Problem. Aber ich hatte nicht erwartet, dass sie im Vergleich zu aktuellen Mechaniken wirklich schwer sein würden.

Pro:
- Vintage Look
- Sehr robust gebaut
- Coole Optik
- Schnell Montage (Der Zylinder passt 1:1)
- Super Preis

Contra:
- Eine einzelne Mechanik wiegt 105 Gramm vs. 83 Gramm (Original)
- Kopflastige wegen Gewicht (Neck Dive)

Wegen die Contras habe ich sie zurückgeschickt. Ich hoffe dass die Info jemandem hilft.
