Not perfect - but great for the money
Igor Thorpe 24.04.2020
Firstly- this isn't properly isolated like some supplies so if you're running high-draw pedals like Strymons, you may run into noise issues. BUT - The battery option is really convenient. There are plenty of outputs, and it's small enough to mount under a pedalboard. As others have noted, the power switch can be awkward to reach, but you can get around that. Also the LEDs are really bright but you can turn them off or stick electrical tape over them, so no problems there. It is definitely one of the quieter power supplies I own, but the real plus point is the fact that it charges with a standard 9v centre -negative supply (of 2A or over). So if you were previously using a one-spot, you can use that to charge this up, which is really cool, especially if you aren't able to use the euro plug it comes with.

Noise generator
SadBoy 20.01.2022
I’ve never had a problem with noisy power supplies before I got this guy.

The more pedals I add to this the more noise I get. I tried powering all the same pedals with individual power supplies and the noise was gone. I also tried different configurations with this power supply, but nothing helped. Every time I added a pedal, no matter what power output I plugged it into or what pedal it was, the noise got stronger. I don’t have power hungry pedals, well below the minimum for this battery and each input.

It’s usable when powering only one pedal. I guess I can use it as a power bank for my phone.

M
Cordless power for pedalboards...
Mette 12.03.2020
I like this power supply. Why you ask?

Well, because of the following reasons:
- It's a rechargeable battery, so once fully charged you don't need to plug it into an outlet.
- Also, battery power means no issues with hum coming from the mains power
- It has three 500 mA outlets to power digital pedals + a USB out so you can even charge your phone!
- it's quite compact, so easy to fit on a pedalboard

Surely, it can't be all good?
- True, I can't understand why the power button is placed where it is. It is placed on the back, which prevents you from placing it up against the edge of your pedalboard. To me, it would have made more sense to place this button on the top of the device. But all in all, a minor niggle.

Conclusion?
Five stars!

Good for a small board
Sebby Dee 16.08.2023
The unit is well thought and offers a lot of possibilities. It's fairly small and light and, if that's your thing, you get a bunch of blue LED lights on your board (you can switch them off). You can also use it as you charge it, which really is great.

On the not so bright side, if you're running a heavy board (1,500 ma +) it won't last much more than 2 hours and the power indicator is a bit random, you don't really know how long you've got left once the light goes orange. I have also experienced some noise using many pedals but ,to be fair, I couldn't be sure it comes from the power supply.

All in all, good for the price and perfect for a small board if it doesn't get noisy.
