This is a very hard reed, certainly not equivalent to a 3.0 as advertised. I would say it is a 4.0 at least. I did not manage to get any good sound out of it, but then I play 2.75-3.0. Since the other HH reed I bought together with this, is the same, I would think this is a general problem.

Warmer erdiger Ton aber zu weich

Zwar für Böhm-Klarinette beschrieben, passt es auf (meine) Mundstücke für Klarinette "Wiener Art" (Hammerschmidt 0, ESM P5DP"H") für welche der Schnitt "german" zu schmal und zu stark gerundet ist. Das Gefühl beim Spielen ist sehr angenehm und ganz ähnlich dem von Holz an Rauheit. Die Ansprache ist gut auch ohne Einspielzeit, der Ton wunderbar warm und erdig.

Es muss aber kurz befeuchtet werden, bevor es eingespannt wird, sonst quietscht, kratzt und rauscht das Blatt. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, optisch sehr ansprechend und gut beschriftet. Wohl ist es deutlich weicher als angegeben, maximal 2-2,5. Ich kann es daher auf oben genannten Mundstücken nicht verwenden, da es zumacht. (vgl. Harry Hartmann Fiberreed HEMP Clar Boehm H)
