Initially I bought WA73EQ which was nice but had one annoying flaw: the EQ gain knobs were too loose. It was impossible to adjust frequency range without knocking the gain knob out of its setting. I returned the unit the same week I received it. HA81 is so much better in this regard. I use it for recording bass and it is fantastic for that. Very happy with my purchase.

Despues de varias pruebas, (y las que me quedan por hacer) concluyo con lo siguiente.
My vocal chain esta compuesto de un manley reference comprado aqui en thomann, (excelente servicio siempre, por no decir EL MEJOR), que va hacia el HA-81- pasa por un klark teknik kta 2-A (tambien de thomann) y acaba en una apollo twin mk2 (tambien de thomann) y posteriormente acaba en logic pro X.
El cambio de sonido respecto a mi antigua cadena que estaba compuesta unicamente por un rode nta 2-A y la apollo twin, ha sido SOBRESALIENTEMENTE increible.
Una tridimensionalidad,, un color, una presencia y un matiz que no se puede lograr sin este pre-amplificador.
He probado el manley enchufado directamente a la apollo y despues al ha81.
No tiene nada que ver.
Cuando la señal entra en el preamplificador, la saturacion que aporta te eleva la calidad del audio mas de lo puedas imaginar, en graves.
Si te falta saturacion, aprietas el boton de la impedancia y la subes a 1200 ohm. Un extra de saturacion mas calida.
Y despues a traves del eq tan dinamico que tiene puedes terminar de moldear ese sonido que tanto buscas y lo acabas encontrando por la versatilidad que este eq tiene. Puedes corregir y mejorar.
Es el primer preamplificador que tengo. Y estoy muy contento con el. Aun me quedan muchas pruebas por hacer pero por ahora con el llevo 2 dias. Y estoy muy muy muy muy muy contentisimo.
Recomendado 💯 y por supuesto comprando siempre aqui en thomann.
El mejor producto, al mejor precio, y con unos empleados que siempre te ayudan en todo.

After several tests, (and those I still have to do) I conclude with the following. My vocal chain is composed of a manley reference purchased here at thomann, (always excellent service, if not THE BEST), which goes to the HA-81 - passes through a klark teknik kta 2-A (also from thomann) and ends on an apollo twin mk2 (also from thomann) and later ended up on logic pro A three-dimensionality, a color, a presence and a nuance that cannot be achieved without this pre-amplifier. I have tried the manley plugged directly into the apollo and then into the ha81. It has nothing to do with it. When the signal enters the preamplifier, the saturation it provides increases the audio quality more than you can imagine, in bass. If you lack saturation, press the impedance button and raise it to 1200 ohm. An extra warmer saturation. And then through the very dynamic EQ that it has you can finish shaping that sound that you are looking for so much and you end up finding it due to the versatility that this EQ has. You can correct and improve. It is the first preamplifier I have had. And I am very happy with it. I still have many tests to do but for now I've had it for 2 days. Ayant déjà testé les modèles "similaire" de chez Warm audio et de chez Neve. Le HA-81A fait très bien son travail, j'ai été vraiment surpris. Le son est plus modern cette mais je trouve que l'équilibre est vraiment excellent. Je recommande vivement.

Préampli utilisé tous les jours pour des prises et en mix, c'est franchement très très bien. J'ai souvent l'occasion d'utiliser des Neve (1073/1084/1081) et l'impression est équivalente avec le Heritage audio.
