Beautiful but needs luthier attention.
Ibanez user 16.09.2021
The guitar sounds good and rather loud.

Overall the guitar is well made and looks mint, but...

Straight from the box the string action is very high.

So I took the guitar to the luthier and after a full setup and string action correcting the guitar plays well but...

String action set to standard, I can hear bass strings rattle if strumming with some kick in it.

The problem is in uneven frets and slightly uneven bow in guitar neck.

The neck is more straight at 6 ; 5; 4 strings and less at strings 3 ; 2 and 1.

So to make the guitar sound perfect with no string rattle, it needs neck filing and re-fretting.

So you have to consider that if you receive one like I did, the luthier will ask 200-300€ for the neck repair and re-fretting.

The luthier said that most of this price level guitars have even worse necks and frets!

If you like your strings action high and/or you are gentle with your right hand, then you should be just fine!

I haven't use the guitar with the amp yet, but the built in tuner works(not the best I have used thought).

i
Guitar of my dreams
ih8trains 18.08.2020
Exactly 4 years ago I was looking for a solid mahogany guitar (or something similar in sound). At that moment I saw the "sister" of this guitar - Ibanez AW54CE-OPN and fell in love with her.
A couple of months ago I saw this site and was pleasantly surprised that this model, with minor changes, is in black. Without further thought, I purchased it and received it after about 14 days (delivery from Germany to Russia).

The things to love about this guitar:
- great sound, with pleasant low frequencies
- reasonable price
- good quality guitar
- pleasant appearance
- convenient body cutout
- good tuner and pickups
- additional XLR connector

What you have to put up with:
- slightly shaking volume and frequency knobs
- poor location of the belt clip
- payment of customs duties (depends on the laws of your country)

Keep it safe, it’s a good guitar!
BethlehemBandit 03.10.2020
It’s usually a Friday night when I pick up a guitar. Audience is around 0 to 3 people who couldn’t care less and are preoccupied with other important Friday activities such as falling asleep at other peoples flats. So this review is from a guy who learned his first 10 chords about 15 years ago and never bothered to learn any new ones. If you can relate this review is for you.

Good points:

+Good sound, rich tone, also quite loud.
+Nice black finish.
+Built-in tuner.
+Good build quality.

Bad points (for me):

- It feels too fragile, like the body is made out of paper rather than wood. Very light. I prefer guitars with more solid feel to them. Knocks and little bumps are regular occurence at my place. Other guitars have survived the abuse for years, but I’m worried about this one.

n
Great instrument!
nunomiggueeel 10.10.2021
The guitar sound great, plays great and looks amazing. It's surprisingly light which makes me feel that it's could a bit fragile.

Action was a little to high for my liking but that was easily solved by sanding off a bit of the saddle. The neck was perfectly set up.

Overall feels like an instrument that pulls above its weight considering the price.
