4 x in a Super Reverb
pidah 08.01.2018
These cheap babies work a miracle in my 1976 Super Reverb.
Just what the doc ordered. Because of their relative ineffciency The power amp can now break up in a much fatter way, without completely tearing your head off.

Jensen jch 1035-8 Chicago 8Ohm

We use this speaker for home made cabinet /40-40-30 cm/ in combination with
Orange Little Terror. Our harmonica player found it as the best combination and
it sounds really great. There is the back opened enclosure with some damping
inside so there in no microphony when the volume and gain is almost in full and
the tone control in on zero. Sound is vintage havy and represend the second solo
instrument with the guitar in dialoque. For the harmonica players this combination is highly recomended from our experience. We are in new project with different wood enclosure and waiting for new Jensen. Dont ask me why...

S
Great replacement for practice amps
Sascha861 22.02.2014
I bought this speaker to replace the original 8" noname speaker in my Fender Mustang I (v1).
I drilled and dremeled the front hole larger to make this fit. The result is a much cleaner sound, with a lot less mud, and sounds a lot more "grown up" than the 8". While this is not by any means a high end speaker, for a low price it can easily upgrade a cheap practice amp. The speaker is heavy and has good, sturdy contacts that are easy to solder to. It's not the most pretty speaker around, but again, it comes with a price tag that allows one to overlook such basic things. There are also several project photos of a Mustang I being upgraded to 10", so using the google image search may give you some ideas.
