a masterpiece

The Jody Jazz DV HR Tenor is an extraordinary mouthpiece, with very fast response and excellent material quality. It is very versatile to be used in situations where you may require soft melody lines, but also punchy soli. Its sound is fat, and in terms of darkness somewhere in the middle, which makes it suitable and adjustable for many styles of music. I have tested and own a lot of JJ mouthpieces, but this is the most versatile and "fun playing" mouthpiece I possess and I can highly recommend it. For whom the "Custom Dark" Model is a tick too dark the DV HR might be the product of choice and I personally prefer the Hard Rubber Mouthpieces, which make it easier for me to adopt my preferred embouchure rather than the smaller metal pieces. Many Thanks to Thomann's excellent service and especially Johannes Schwägerl, who not only made me try three different openings (6, 7 and 7*) but also helped with some valuable advice during the test.
