Compact and weighing in at just 730g, the GE100 stands out with its ease of use, supported by a bright display that provides clear information throughout, from amp selection to saving custom presets in one of the 80 available memory slots. It comes with 80 pre-set sounds, offering a solid base for players to start creating their own custom sounds, in addition to which the expression pedal allows further creative freedom. With an AUX input and a combination output jack compatible with headphones, it is ideal for quiet practice sessions, too.

Extensive sound arsenal

The large, illuminated display on the Mooer GE100 Box Guitar Multi FX makes it easy to pair amp types with the extensive range of effects. The sound options are broad, ranging from warm clean tones to dynamic overdrive and distortion from classic vintage amps, extending to modern high-gain sounds. Adding one of the 23 distortion/overdrive pedals significantly expands the tonal palette, and the effects section includes essentials such as reverb, chorus, and echo, along with a variety of special effects. The looper with 180 seconds of recording time and the drum machine with 40 rhythm patterns encourage creativity, while the integrated chord and scale dictionary in the "Lessons" function support the development and refinement of the player's theoretical knowledge.

About Mooer

Mooer is based in the Chinese city of Shenzhen and has been making products for guitarists since 2010, which include compact single pedals through to multi-effects units and compact amplifiers. The company initially produced a range of mini pedals before making perhaps its most significant breakthrough in 2016 with the sophisticated Ocean Machine delay pedal, which was designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend. Mooer's product range now also includes solutions that feature amp modelling, IR-based speaker simulation, and matching equalisers, and the company's focus remains firmly on the use of digital technology.

Portable with battery power

Whether practising with the Lessons function or jamming with the looper and drum machine, the Mooer GE100 offers fun and flexibility without the need to rely on a power outlet, since the unit also supports battery operation and is therefore portable and can be used anywhere, even outdoors with headphones. Its compact design allows it to fit easily into a gig bag or guitar case and ensures quick setup for recording, rehearsals, or live performances. With a broad range of amp models and effects, it provides a versatile, high-quality sound in any environment.

I have had this pedal for a few weeks and am really impressed. As with all multi effect pedals and amps there are some pre-sets I like and some that for me are useless and this is no exception but it has more useable tones than most. I particularly like the drum effect and the looper function, 180 seconds is long enough to make a really useable loop. It is complicated to use at first but then it would be as it is jammed with possibilities and sounds but the manual is comprehensive and clearly written. Personally I think it is worth the money just for the looper alone! Although it is mostly plastic it feels sturdy and I feel it will last a long time. The screen is big enough to see well and has a lot of information with good clarity. The only thing I would like to see is an on/off switch when using it with a power supply, it is a pain to have to disconnect it when finished with. Very high marks!

Compact, easy to use and full of features

While I don't have a great deal of experience by which I can compare this multi FX against other models, I've found it to be a great unit.

For the price, it packs a lot in - not only the effects like delays, reverb, chorus, phasers, there's also amp modelling, compression, and the foot controller which can be assigned to different variables such as gain, wah or volume.
Add to that the rhythm tracks and using headphones instead of the line out, and it makes a great tool for practice.
I've used it with both guitar and bass and I've been very pleased with the results.
Higher priced multi-effects will obviously have better quality signal paths and more options for adjustment (most effects on this are limited to 3 parameters) but if you're looking for a device that gives you a load of simple effects for varying your sound without a hundred individual boxes, and a lifetime of settings tweaking, then this is very capable device.

JV
Perfect first multi-effects pedal

In short words, this pedal is great as a first step into the world of multi-effects for electric guitars. It's cheap but that doesn't mean it's under qualified, the effects, amps, etc. are quite good, it's easy to operate and works well. Only con I find for this price point is it is made of plastic, however that does not stop you from getting amazing sounds out of it.
