A little gem...
Briony 16.04.2014
The Mooer Micro DI is a good looking, super-compact DI Box which fits nicely on my pedal board. I use it to add a DI output to my Mooer VEM Box and it works a treat: the signal is nicely balanced, and with the -20dB switch engaged, there's a welcomed reduction in both hiss and feedback.

Aside from being a simple DI Box, the Mooer MIcro DI can also emulate the sound of a guitar amp (if the built-in cabinet simulation is engaged) allowing you to take your guitar signal direct into a PA without having to even mic up (or even use) a guitar amp. This is a useful feature, and might just save your skin if your amp unexpectedly breaks down at a gig. I haven't tested this feature though, and as long as I have realistic expectations - i.e. don't expect it to rival the sound of a high quality guitar amp - I'm sure it would do just fine.

The unit also has a ground lift switch, a balanced and an unbalanced output (XLR/jack), a -20 to +20 dB switch, and requires a 9V DC (centre minus) power supply to operate, which is not included. I power mine directly from my pedal board, and there is no noticeable noise or hum.

Overall, the Mooer Micro DI is a neat little product - it looks cool, it appears to be strong and durable (having been made mostly from metal) and perhaps more importantly, it sounds pretty darn good.

More than a DI
Georgios S. 28.10.2017
I split my bass signal to 2 outputs. First is clean and goes through preamp etc. and second is distorted, goes through octave, pitch shifter, distortion and DI for output. This pedal is small, fits anywhere in the pedalboard. It does its job as a DI. and on top it has an amp sim whch gives a warmer sound to my distortion.

It does its job really well
DimitCh 02.04.2021
I bought this item because I had to do some live appearances with acoustic instruments and I had to have a DI box. It has suited my purpose very well. I haven't used it very much, however it is sturdy and has had no problems whatsoever so far. However, even though I didn't care for many functions that other DI boxes include, this one comes a bit short of a variety of functions. To me it is ok, but to people wanting to spend more money for a more elaborate box, then they have to buy another.

Doesn't sound any good
soulata 31.03.2018
I'm satisfied with some Moer gear and really dissatisfied with the other, I guess I should have returned this one but I didn't so there's that. It works as advertised but it simply doesn't sound good. Even the Behringer DI (that's roughly in the same ballpark pricewise) works better. Much better.
