I used these with a half-rack blanking plate with D-type cutouts, to bring some of the IO from the rear of my Motu Ultralite to the front of the rack.
The solder buckets are large and sturdy enough - these are easy to work with. If you need screws and nuts to hold these onto a panel, you will need M3. Ideally countersunk, but standard will also work fine.

Tough.

I replace many faulty plastic XLR ins, they go loose after a wire is accidentally pulled hard, leaving intermittent connection, in music its a disaster. The Neutric seem to be much tougher than the standard placcy items and with a little care can be fitted with a little alterations, well worth the effort and will last much longer.
