Good looper with some wasted potential
albertotp 15.01.2018
I use the Nux Loop Core Deluxe with its additional foot-switch mainly at home and sometimes at band rehearsal. The pedal and switches seem very robust. The recorded sound quality is very good, the memory extensive, the transactions between tracks are perfect and there's no switching noise. The pedal is not so difficult to use, but definitely requires you to read the manual briefly. Learning how to move files was a bit complicated due to file format restrictions, but a format converter is now available at Nux website. A few of the drum patterns are great and most of them are just good, but all in all much better than just a metronome or cymbal sound.

A few things really bother me because they should be possible, but apparently they're not:
1. You can't save a loop on the fly: Once you finished recording all layers of part A, you must stop the loop to save it before moving on to record part B on another empty bank. You can't save the loop unless you stop it, and if you change bank to record part B without saving part A, your recording will be lost. This is very stupid and makes the Nux Loop Core Deluxe way less usable for live loooping situations, jamming, etc...
2. The separate amp and mixer outputs was a major selling point to me, but it should possible to direct the recorded loop to the mixer. Only the drumbeats will come out to the mixer output. I intended to load the looper with backing tracks, record some base guitars or bass lines, and then play along, but then all instruments except the drumbeats come through the guitar amp output, which is far from ideal.
3. The manual does not explain some features: how to turn frequency compensation and cabinet simulation and buffer on/off. Any help on that would be appreciated.

Overall it's a great looper and I'm having lots of fun with it. It just bugs me that the product designers did not think about these details, which likely could be implemented without any hardware change. I originally thought it was a very good looper for the price, but now I see the money was likely saved on the product development and testing...

Cheap and good!

I got the delux bundle becuase they did not have just the looper pedal in stock but i would guess it is equally good. It has lots of features that i hope to become better using. this is my first loop pedal but it seems very good and does what it is soupossed to. They feel like its good quality and i played a very long loop with many layers and it did not suffer in sound quality. Great product for the price. I did have some problems understanding the functions but after reading the manual its very easy, just have to remember all the functions.

Does what it should for the price.

Solidly built, good sound, timing is accurate and has all the input/output connections one needs. NMP-2 Switch is an added bonus. As usual Thomann delivers correctly and speedily.

I love it!

I just love it!
just made to be used naturally and so ergonomic.

Good built and very stable on floor.
once you have it, you won't stop using it!

downside (not even worth a star loss): consider buying a battery charger or the power supply (I prefer 2 rechargeable batteries, one in one spare) so it's less cables around.
for this price, the product can't come with power supply, it's the most competitive on the market!

I love it! twice even!
