Huge letdown

I wasn’t expecting much on the quality side of things with this crash but this cymbal is lacking even the sound of a crash cymbal. I bought this cymbal as a budget second crash for my kit and very quickly realised the sound from it is more comparable to an effects cymbal or a hi hat than a crash. Now possibly all 14 crashes sound like this as I haven’t got any experience with anything smaller than a 16”. Nonetheless dissapointed with this crash.

A mainstay of cymbals

The 101 14? cymbal stays true to Paiste quality, and is a quite affordable option for when you look for good performance and quality sound.

Very durable, I mainly use these when playing beats which feature cymbal hitting in lieu of hi-hat.

Sound is in medium-low, and muffles quickly. That?s why I always use these in smaller gigs where great big honkin? cymbals would have way too much sustain and big sound.

Mild but Snappy

it crashes nicely with a mild but snappy undertone kind of reminding of a Zen Buddhist temple

Crash and burn!

Great crash, for a few pounds, that's how Paiste works: bang for a buck! Good build, nice materials, great reliability and quality. Although I'm not a good drummer, I can see quality where it exists, and this is a good quality crash! Totally recommend it!
