Phissaz magnifique.

I have 3 big body, magnetic p'up guitars I gig with. This little blue box certainly "brings out" very happy nuances from them all, for me, a new and sweet sound, not loud or aggressive, but happy. Mainly, this blue box is a preamp/di, needed for the "sound guys hereabouts".
I live in France, doing many genre of music. With a French lady singer, classic French music, I do solo anglaise pop, rock, etc. I gig with an English r&r band, sometimes only for free beer & a feed when finished, sometimes for good €.
I use this blue box on batteries, as quick setup/tare down are important for mid evening changeover, a big thing here in France.
quilter is a new name to me, but am glad I got this thing, no massive big changes in my big aulde guitar sounds, but it certainly is bringing out the sweet nuances of "clean sweetness" for me. Beware the "gain" beyond 7/8ths, it's probably where r&r begins. 7

MK
Gig worthy!
Mr. Koi 17.02.2022
Purchased two, one for me and one for my daughter primarily to reduce set up time at rehearsals. Used instead of amps for a gig at The Fleece in Bristol, very impressed. Sound engineer liked the sound and some people in the audience commented about overall quality of the mix. Takes pedals well and easy to use. Much better than the Palmer (which was not purchased from Thomann!).

SS
Simple, no frills pre amp
Sinewave Surfer 29.07.2022
Pros:
-Great cleans.
-Built like a tank.
-You can use it with other instruments via FRFR.
-Takes it power from phantom; hence the name.

Cons:
-High gain sounds not that great (still usable on some applications).

I
Surprisingly usefull

When I first tried it, it didn’t have any particular sound, which proved to be best feature of this DI.
I’t so fast to just plug bas, guitar or keyboard, drive it to taste, record it to DAW, and than refine sound little eq and reverb. Done. Arguably, that is enough 95% of time for 95% of tracks.
