Reason 13 wurde von mir Ende 2024 zu einem Top-Preis bei Fa. Thomann erworben. Download und Lizensierung war einfach, die anschließende Installation Mac-typisch superschnell und problemlos.

Der Reiz dieser Software liegt in der sehr hardwarenahen Haptik im Stil eines endlosen 19" Racksystems. Alles lässt sich mit Patchkabeln verbinden. Das lädt zum Experimentieren ein und bringt Ergebnisse, die mit normalen VST basierten DAWs nicht immer möglich sind.
Wer Hardware gewohnt ist, wird sich hier schnell wohlfühlen. Reason läuft auf meinem Mac absolut stabil. Ich habe bislang weder Fehlermeldung noch Absturz erlebt. Einzig meine vorhandenen VSTs erkennt Reason noch nicht. Dazu werde ich mich aber an den Support wenden, der recht gut sein soll. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden.
