DId try two of these remote sets with two Stairville AF-180 Led Foggers. Works like they should. Haven't yet tried how long distance does these work. Battery is very rare, so remember to order one with remote. There is magnet on the back of each receiver to you can attach it to metal of the machine.
To clarify channel operation:
- If you press button 1 every machine that has receiver dip 1 on initiates. If you press button 2 every machine that has dip 2 on initiates and so on.
- You can also put several dips on for one machine. Then it initiates by pressing any of these buttons. Lets say You have dips 1 and 4 on, then that machine operates with buttons 1 or 4.
- You can also initiate several machines with one button if they all have same dip on. That is very handy as master-slave operation is not very usual on smoke machines.
So these dip switches do NOT operate like DMX-addresses, where every dip that is on adds address by 1, 2, 4, 8... These are more like individual ch1 on/off, ch2 on/off, ch3 on/off, ch4 on/off.
I personally use my two AF-180 foggers like this:
Machine 1: dips 1 and 4 on
Machine 2: dips 2 and 4 on
Button 1: Machine 1
Button 2: Machine 2
Button 3: none
Button 4: both machines
