My original RCF covers for 8003AS finally gave up in the zipper departement (and thay were also extremely cumbersome to put on the subs). So I was looking for cheaper and more simpler alternatives. Found these. To my surprise they were too big for my subs (but I should have paid more attention to the dimension numbers!). Instead of sending them back I decided to fold them a little from every side with gaffer tape (some serious heavy taping) and now they work fine. Not the most beautiful solution, but hey, for this money, what do you want. The fabric is fairly strong (just dont let anything very sharp near it). SInce it has no padding, it offers only very basic protection, but that's all I need. As I said, the original covers are total pain to put on. With these you just "bag" the subs and you're done! You can't do it any faster! It basically protects you cubs from scratches, dirt and maybe some spillage, if you are quick. Since the material is waaaay thinner than originals, it saves you tons of space! It's a good thing for a band that plays in all kinds of small and weird venues/weddings etc. The original covers alone would be 1/5 of the "cover mountain" after you unpack. These are very light and take very little room!
